Safety and Security

For your safety and the security of your personal property, we offer the following services and suggestions.

Double Locks
For additional security, utilize the deadbolt lock provided on your door upon entering. This will prevent the door from being opened by a regular room key.

Admittance
Do not admit persons to your room without first confirming their identification. If there is any doubt about the person’s credentials, please contact the Front Desk.

Keys
Key cards are issued for the duration of your stay. Contact the Front Desk should you have any difficulty using your card. Some lodges with external entry doors require the use of your keycard for access between 12 AM and 6 AM. Please keep these doors closed to prevent wildlife from entering these lodges.

Fire
Please familiarize yourself with the location of the nearest fire exit stairway. Evacuation route signs are located on the inside of your unit’s entry door. In the unlikely event of a fire, please move quickly but calmly to the stairs. Avoid the use of elevators. Report fire or smoke to the Front Desk immediately.

Wildlife
The local bear community is active most of the year. There are also sometimes coyotes that pass through the property. Please maintain a considerable distance away from them. Go back inside if an animal is too close!

Please notify the Front Desk if the wildlife appears to be a nuisance or seems threatening. DO NOT FEED THEM! DO NOT LEAVE FOOD IN the CAR, ON YOUR DECK, OR NEAR WINDOWS IN YOUR ROOM! LOCK YOUR CAR WHEN UNATTENDED.

Fire Safety

Please familiarize yourself with the tips below so you are prepared in the rare case of a fire at our resort.

  • First, find two exits nearest your room. Be sure they are unlocked and unblocked.

  • Then, count doors between your room and exits so you’ll have a reference point if it’s smoky.

  • When you hear an alarm, act, don’t investigate.

  • If the fire is in your room, get out and close the door. Once out, report the fire.

  • If the fire is not in your room, leave if you can. First, feel your door, if it’s cool, open it slowly and go to the nearest exit. Crawl in smoke. Fresh air will be at the floor. Take your key so you can go back if you can’t use your exits.

  • If your room door is hot, don’t open it. Your room may be the safest place to be. Seal all cracks with wet towels. Shut off fans and air conditioners. Signal out your window. Call the Fire Department and wait to be rescued.

  • Do not place ski boots or jackets on or next to heaters in the room. Make sure the flue is open when building a fire in the fireplace.
